John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

As one of the United States’ busiest airports, John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York City sees 31 million travelers annually. To accommodate the volume of visitors, an 8.1-mile-long elevated people mover system and rail link was introduced.
Safety was a top priority for JFK, so Janus emergency track phones and head-end testing software were also included in the installation. Since the driverless system operates 24/7 and consists of 3 lanes and 10 stations, the staff was concerned about the amount of time it would take to test and monitor each phone. Janus was able to design a custom solution that can test all phones during a quick 1-hour session.
With an efficient monitoring and testing procedure, JFK visitors can quickly arrive at their destination knowing all safety precautions have been taken.
